Fenofibrate (nanoparticles)
Indications / Uses
Adjunct to diet & other non-pharmacological treatment for severe hypertriglyceridaemia w/ or w/o low HDL cholesterol, mixed hyperlipidaemia when a statin is contraindicated or not tolerated & mixed hyperlipidaemia in patients at high CV risk in addition to a statin when triglycerides & HDL cholesterol are inadequately controlled. Reduction in the progression of diabetic retinopathy in patients w/ type 2 diabetes & existing diabetic retinopathy.
